There\u2019s a warm and lush feel to this record, something that wraps you up in its druggy arms and soothes you, opiated and organic. Underpinning the otherworldly cosmic connection psychedelia there\u2019s a beautiful menace in the tribal drums and almost post punk Banshees-like bass and plenty of moments of thumping psych rock (typified by the thudding dark drive of \u2018Howling Pines\u2019 and the fuzzed up soaring \u2019Harsh Dawn\u2019). The standard psych approach is ignored though \u2013 this album twists and turns in various directions while still keeping the overall flow and shamanic vibrations.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"White Canyon &amp; The 5th Dimension - Fireflies Dance (Fuzzed up &amp; Astromoon Records)\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BUM_mNvgDq0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u2018Fireflies Dance\u2019 breaks on through to the other side of the claustrophobic haze with its jangly paisley underground vibe while \u2018Black Holes\u2019 has a darker acid western guitar twang evoking wide open spaces in the desert at dusk, night and mystery closing in. \u2018Ancient Secrets Of Green Leaf\u2018 is different again \u2013 a reverb heavy witch cult dance, full of swirling horror film organs and sultry vocals, Link Wray and The Cramps summoning the old gods.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3.jpg\" rel=\"lightbox[16314]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-16317\" src=\"https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" data-wp-pid=\"16317\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3-768x769.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3-600x601.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3-100x100.jpg 100w, https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/08\/Image-3.jpg 959w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The vocals are shared between Leo and Gabriela; that duality\u2026 as above so below\u2026.seems present throughout the whole of the album; male and female, light and dark, the nature worship spirituality and the more direct psych stylings .<\/p>\n<p>The trip ends with \u2018Inner Outside\u2019 and maintains the mystical feel of abstract psychedelia, music you can visualise and almost taste, that conjures up colours, smells, memories. There\u2019s alchemy here, an enchanting glamour. I kept thinking of a grand sweeping Jodorowsky movie\u2026 surreal images flashing into the brain, hidden meanings and symbolism buried in the texture.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Gardeners Of The Earth\u2019 is an intoxicating experience, the atmosphere heavy with magick and allure, hints and glimpses of occult meaning and significance. An irresistible invitation to lose yourself in the steamy exotic sounds, to participate in the dreamy escape. It\u2019s an exploration of rich sonic landscapes,\u00a0 designed to draw you in and seduce you.
