As Edinburgh-based indie-pop titans Night Noise Team<\/strong> gear up for the release of their new album \u2018Slow Release\u2019, they\u2019re making available a free MP3 from the record, \u2018You Won\u2019.<\/p>\n To listen to \u201cSlow Release<\/em>\u201d is to succumb to Sean Ormsby\u2019s distinctive vocal. Falling somewhere between Morrissey\u2019s laconic drawl, the gentle Scottish-isms of Belle & Sebastian\u2019s Stuart Murdoch and the desperate fragility of Bombay Bicycle Club\u2019s Jack Steadman it\u2019s an idiosyncratic voice, both spoken and sung, that unites and propels Night Noise Team\u2019s every move.<\/p>\n NNT Vocalist Sean Ormsby explains the band\u2019s choice of free track; ‘When ‘You Won’ was initially recorded, I described it as a ‘reflective banger’. I meant that, while it’s thoughtful and layered, it’s also danceable and direct.
