{"id":4254,"date":"2015-06-05T19:17:43","date_gmt":"2015-06-05T18:17:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/eyeplug.net\/magazine\/?p=4254"},"modified":"2013-02-25T14:39:38","modified_gmt":"2013-02-25T14:39:38","slug":"the-chapman-family-at-surya-bar-20213","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.eyeplug.net\/magazine\/the-chapman-family-at-surya-bar-20213\/","title":{"rendered":"The Chapman Family at Surya Bar 20\/2\/13"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Torn between watching the Brit Awards on the idiot box, and a night at Surya with <strong>The Chapman Family<\/strong>, it doesn\u2019t take a genius to figure out which one I chose.<\/p>\n<p>Kings Cross\u2019 dubious reputation has still not entirely been killed off by the appearance of health clubs, glass mini-skyscrapers and smart bars like this one, and the cramped basement with the tiny stage proved to be the perfect venue to hear Stockton\u2019s finest.<\/p>\n<p>I hesitate to describe music in terms which would have sounded oafish even a few years ago, but there\u2019s no denying the film soundtrack quality to their work.
